चाहते (Desire)

चाहते जगी न थी तो कोशिशें हमने की न थी
डर सता रहा था और कोशिश करने से भगा रहा था 

If desire had not awakened, we wouldn't have attempted, Fear lingered, discouraging us from trying.

चाहते जगी न थी तो कोशिशें हमने की न थी
पता हमें तो था मगर भरोसा खुद पर न था

If desire had not awakened, we wouldn't have attempted, Though we knew, self-confidence was lacking.

आए जो तुम इधर लगा की कुछ नया करने का बहाना मिला लैब में पड़ी मशीनों से कुछ नये आविष्कार करने का जैसे एक बहाना मिला सफर में जैसे एक नया सफरनामा मिला

When you arrived here, it felt like an excuse ,To invent something new in the laboratory, Or as if a fresh chapter unfolded during the journey.

चाहते जगी न थी तो कोशिशें हमने की न थी 
जमीं पर हम तो थे मगर आसमान में उड़ने का तुमसे बहाना मिला

If desire had not awakened, we wouldn't have attempted, Though we were on the ground, you provided a reason to fly.


अंतरिक्ष यान में जाने का इरादा न था मगर
तुम्हें दूसरे ग्रह ले जाने का नया एक बहाना मिला 

The intention wasn't to journey into space,
Yet with you, a fresh excuse emerged to explore other planets.
