Book Review: "The Chhau Champ" is an uplifting children's book written by Vibha Batra. The story follows Subha, a young girl with a passion for Chhau dance, a semi-classical Indian dance form that blends martial arts and folk traditions. Subha dreams of becoming a Chhau dancer, but faces obstacles due to the dance being traditionally performed by boys only. Her father, a member of the Chhau troupe, denies her dream repeatedly, concerned about what others might think.

Subha's brother Shayon, however, supports her aspirations and teaches her everything he knows about Chhau. Through hard work and determination, Subha becomes an expert and masters the entire solo performance. On the final day of the dance performance Subha's brother has gone to football tryouts which creates a chaotic and challenging moment for Subha.
