The Fascination Station: Journey into the Extraordinary Ordinary

N.S. Vijaya Kumar's "The Fascination Station: Journey into the Extraordinary Ordinary" is a gentle reminder that we should take the time to stop and notice our surroundings. The author, through his personal life experiences, manages to illustrate how much outstanding stories are hidden in simple activities.

The book is inspired by his podcast and contains warm and curious stories about extraordinary moments of quiet life and the charm of this book lies in its simplicity - easy and relaxed style of writing, easy - going stories, and attention to details that we frequently miss. Each of the essays may stand on its own, but once put together the essays express a belief that curiosity can recur in the rich.

This book talks in a tone sharing stories that feel familiar and it invites readers to pause, see and cherish what surrounds them and what makes this book special, though, is that it should not be read rush but savored, like a unique journey, filled with new discoveries.

  1. That seems like a good slow read. Would add it to the TBR for the slow days. Thanks for sharing.
