Playful Love

Playful Love

She sparked chaos and spice in the kitchen,

In flour's every direction, he went on, "not again!"

"Let's bake cookies!" she said full of cheer,

He muttered,"Oh really? Till morning this will steer."

From the dough came games shared with fun,

With shrieks of laughter, he crawled out of the sun.

And, midnight, pure gold, all of the sweet, starchy creations lay;

There on silvery trays of love they were put on display.

She dashed into the shop for her hoped-for treasure,

With her eyes bright as stars, it was a mystery to treasure.

For solace on the historic side was his phase,

She replaces it with a romance-What an antic in her smiles and grace.

He scowled a little at first. Then he turned the page,

Behind him, her giggles rang cordially on this stage.

But in no time, he found himself chuckling with her trap,

A grumpy little boy caught up in some platypus game.

Laughter and banter-second family, so to speak
Prying up at the tougher areas in his heart reek.

A wacky love dance, spontaneous and grand,

A thread of magic enveloped their souls' hands.
