One breath away, worlds apart;

a hidden fire in the dark, in the dark.


The muted ache, the silent call,

that dream rises, never falls, never falls.


Withheld touch, unspoken voice,

bond unshaken, but so broken, but so broken.


Yearning hums under the skin,

Long is the longing, short the paper-thin, short the paper-thin.
